Herbert Gould Home are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our experienced team. You will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for our high end residential client base. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver a full design and project management package. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in AutoCAD and Sketchup is required. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to determine their needs, style, and budget.

• Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval using AutoCAD and SketchUp.

• Create detailed drawings and specifications for construction purposes.

• Select materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that align with the client's style and budget.

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

• Oversee the installation of design elements and ensure they meet quality standards. 

 

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp programmes.

• Proven track record in providing excellent client service.

• Project management skills to effectively plan and execute design projects within budget and timeline constraints.

RETAIL ASSISTANT

Herbert Gould Home are looking for a part time Retail Assistant to join our team, with flexibilty to work weekends and cover staff holidays as required. Previous experience in a similar retail environment/visual merchandising and a passion for interiors would be an advantage. 

​

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.

• Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, including pricing,restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.

• Operate till and handle customer transactions accurately.

• Demonstrate product knowledge and effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.

• Assist in inventory management, including receiving and unpacking merchandise. 

• Supporting colleagues and working together as a team in a friendly and professional manner to provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
